Finished News Story

My news story was about the rebuilding of the hotel Coco Palms. My teammates were Neliza Iannuzzi, Shanden Matsushima, and Zephen Kaneakua. The Coco Palms was, and still is, a popular hotel. On September 11, 1991 the hotel was sadly struck by hurricane Iniki with the rest of Kauai. Then, on July 4, 2014 someone set the place on fire.

In my opinion, the final cut of the new story turned out very good. I was very happy when I watched it before I turned it in.  I think that there could have been some cleaning up on the quality here and there, but other than that I could not be happier with the final product.

Just like almost every other project in G.T. we critiqued all of our final products. A majority of the class graded the finished product 3 out of 4. In my opinion, that is a reasonable grade. I know that we completed most of the expectations, but we could improve when it came to certain things. We had a few jump-cuts in the b-roll here and there, it was a little hard to understand the story in some parts and some other things. Over all, I am satisfied with the results that this project got and I do think that it was good.
